Maddi Palser

Maddi qualified as a lawyer in 1996 before working at law firms in Melbourne and London, initially specialising in competition law and subsequently broadening her practice into general commercial, regulatory and disputes. Having worked with clients both in-house and as an external legal advisor, Maddi is experienced in interfacing with industry participants, key stakeholders and regulators, and she delivers results in complex legal and commercial frameworks.

Most recently prior to joining ConMoto Group, Maddi spent some time working and studying in other industry sectors, before returning to the law.

Maddi’s experience includes:

• Leading the European legal team for the multi-region Europe, Middle East and Africa Division of Buena Vista Home Entertainment (part of the Walt Disney group of companies).
• Key member of the defence team acting for Boral Ltd in a groundbreaking court case in relation to alleged predatory pricing in the concrete masonry products industry.
• Advising clients on the competition implications of cross-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions in Australia and the UK.
• Acting for clients in relation to discrimination claims in the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
• Acting for Local Councils and private clients in relation to regulatory requirements of Tasmanian planning and development legislation.
• Advising clients in relation a wide range of contractual disputes across a variety of industry sectors.
